Mike Birbiglia has a magical talent to tell you truthfully all the weird, crappy stuff that’s happened in his life and make you laugh about it. It’s one of the most sincere and honest movies I’ve ever seen. It’s funny, but it’s also him developing his voice as a stand up, so either enjoy bad jokes, or wait through the awkward until he gets in his groove, because both are great.
Based On: a true story
Plot: Sleepwalk may be in the title, but that’s a side issue compared to all the personal issues.
Characters: Honest and complicated.
